Westside Run Clubs: Santa Monica to Culver City
26 clubs · 6 neighborhoods · 41 weekly runs ·
The Westside is where most first-time LA run club visits happen: flat, car-free miles on the South Bay Bicycle Trail, sunrise groups at the Santa Monica Pier and the Venice boardwalk, and weeknight crews that finish at a cafe on Abbot Kinney or in downtown Culver City.
Santa Monica and Venice Beach share the same 22-mile coastal path, so a club listed in one is a ten-minute jog from the other. Inland, the San Vicente median in Brentwood is the Westside's unofficial track, Beverly Gardens Park anchors the Beverly Hills groups, and the Ballona Creek Trail carries Culver City runners all the way to the marina. Ocean air keeps summer mornings cool and winter runs mild, which is why this side of town has the densest cluster of beginner-friendly clubs in the county. Malibu sits at the far end of PCH; its trail runners usually meet with the Santa Monica crews, so Malibu is covered here until it has a club of its own.
