Running in Playa Vista & Marina del Rey
The Marvin Braude Bike Trail runs the length of the beach from Venice through Playa del Rey to the top of the Dockweiler bluffs, and the Ballona Creek Trail joins it at the marina for a flat, traffic-free out-and-back toward Culver City. Burton Chace Park and the Marina Peninsula give a 3-mile loop on wide sidewalks with water on both sides. Playa Vista adds the Bluff Creek trail and the wide, quiet streets around the Campus, which is where most weeknight crews start. Meeting spots are the marina parks, Playa Provisions in Playa del Rey, The Starting Line on Washington Boulevard and the Playa Vista cafes; a few crews post the exact spot on Instagram each week. Parking is easy at the beach lots and the marina, and Culver Boulevard and Washington Boulevard have street parking. Ocean air keeps evening runs cool even in summer.
