Downtown LA Run Clubs: DTLA, Echo Park & K-town
14 clubs · 4 neighborhoods · 21 weekly runs ·
Central LA is the weeknight capital of the city's run club scene. Downtown crews stage from the Arts District, Grand Park and the 6th Street Viaduct, Echo Park adds a lake loop and Elysian hills, and Koreatown's flat grid keeps late groups moving toward a 24-hour dinner.
The LA River path gives Downtown a flat, traffic-free out-and-back, while the Arts District streets and Little Tokyo make up the social loops. Echo Park Lake is the Eastside warm-up spot, with Elysian Park and the Dodger Stadium roads just above it for hills. Koreatown has no park to speak of but makes up for it with wide sidewalks along Wilshire and 6th, the best transit access in the city, and a food scene that keeps clubs running well past dark. Silver Lake sits between the three and its reservoir loop is a regular route for the Echo Park and Downtown groups, so Silver Lake runners are covered here until a club lists there directly. Expect 3 to 8 mile routes, mostly after work.
