Hollywood Run Clubs: Los Feliz & Griffith Park

6 clubs · 1 neighborhood · 16 weekly runs ·

Griffith Park is the trail-running heart of Los Angeles, and the clubs that meet in Los Feliz, at Fern Dell and on the Observatory lawn are the ones Hollywood, West Hollywood and Los Feliz runners actually join. This page gathers them in one place.

More than 4,000 acres of fire roads and single-track sit at the top of Hollywood, so most trail-minded clubs in this part of town stage from the Vermont Avenue entrance, Fern Dell or Los Feliz Village and climb toward the Observatory or the Hollywood Sign. Runyon Canyon and Lake Hollywood are the popular solo routes in Hollywood proper, and Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood provides flat, well-lit miles for evening groups. Los Feliz is the gateway between the two: flat residential streets below, canyon trails above. Because most of these crews list Griffith Park as their home base, this page covers Hollywood, West Hollywood, Los Feliz and the park together, and any new club in those neighborhoods shows up here first.
