Running Clubs in Burbank
Los Angeles, CA
Burbank offers a combination of flat urban paths and foothill trails that make it one of the best running destinations in the San Fernando Valley. The Chandler Bikeway provides a paved, car-free corridor through the city, while Wildwood Canyon and the Verdugo Mountains deliver serious elevation and views.
The Chandler Bikeway is a flat, paved multi-use path running roughly 4 miles through central Burbank, following the route of a former Pacific Electric railway line. It is smooth, well-maintained, and great for tempo runs, commute runs, or easy morning miles. For trail running, Wildwood Canyon Park at the northeastern edge of the city provides a network of fire roads and single-track trails that climb into the Verdugo Mountains. Stough Canyon Nature Center offers a popular 3.6-mile out-and-back trail with 850 feet of elevation gain and panoramic views of the Valley floor. Running clubs in Burbank often meet at the Chandler Bikeway trailheads, at Wildwood Canyon, or in downtown Burbank near the AMC complex. The area is well-served by Metrolink and the B Line Metro, making it accessible for group runs from across the Valley.
